Privacy
Odin's Eye is built and run by Mithryl Labs LLC. It has no accounts and no database. This page says exactly where the details you type go, and where they do not.
Effective September 30, 2026
What you give us
To write a reading, the form asks for a first name, a birth date, a birth time if you know it, and a birth place. It also asks what you want the reading to focus on, and offers an optional note in your own words plus optional MBTI and Enneagram types. A couples reading asks for the same birth details for a second person, and a few questions about the relationship.
The optional note is yours to fill in or leave empty. Please do not include health information, sexual details, financial account information, passwords, or other sensitive information about yourself or someone else. You can use a nickname instead of a legal name.
Where it goes
Our server. When you generate a reading, your answers are sent to our server, which calculates the chart and assembles the request for the reading. The app processes them in memory and does not save submissions or readings to a database or a server-side file. When you download a PDF, the reading and chart are sent to our server, turned into a file in memory, and returned to you. PDF downloads do not send a new request to Anthropic.
Anthropic. The reading is written by Claude, an AI model made by Anthropic. Your name, birth date and time, calculated chart, and chosen context are included in the request sent to Anthropic's API. Anthropic states that API inputs and outputs are deleted within 30 days in the ordinary case and are not used for model training by default. Safety investigations and legal obligations can require longer retention and authorized human review. Its own terms govern those exceptions: Anthropic's data retention policy.
Vercel. The site is hosted on Vercel, which records standard request metadata: IP address, browser user agent, requested URL, and timestamp. The country and state you pick are part of the address used to look up cities, so they can appear in those logs. We use this metadata to operate and protect the site. Our application logs contain generation timing, token counts, completion status, and limited error diagnostics. We do not log submitted answers, reading content, access codes, or raw error messages. Runtime logs are available in our Vercel dashboard for up to 30 days. Vercel may retain separate security and service records under its own privacy policy.
What stays in your browser
Your draft. The form saves your answers in your browser's local storage so a reload does not lose them. They stay on your device until you clear the relevant draft or clear the site's browser data. Solo and couples drafts are stored separately and have no automatic expiry. Anyone using the same browser profile may be able to reopen them.
Your reading. The finished reading is kept in session storage so the reading page can show it. It normally disappears when you close the tab, though browser session restoration can restore it. We keep no server-side copy, so download the PDF if you want to keep it.
Two cookies. One counts how many readings this browser has generated in the last 24 hours, to enforce the daily limit. The other remembers, for up to a year, that you entered the access code. The quota cookie lasts 24 hours from its most recent update and contains a random browser identifier and generation-attempt timestamps. Both are signed and HttpOnly, so page scripts cannot read them. Neither contains your name, birth details, or reading. They are used for access and usage limits, not advertising or cross-site tracking. Blocking them may prevent reading generation from working.
Clearing data. Start over clears the draft for the form you are using. Start Fresh on a reading clears that mode's draft and the reading in that tab. Neither clears the other mode's draft or the cookies. To clear both drafts and the cookies, clear this site's data in your browser; close other open tabs too. Downloaded PDFs must be deleted separately. Clearing browser data does not delete information already sent to Anthropic.
What we do not do
No analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixels, no fingerprinting, and no third-party scripts. We do not maintain persistent user profiles or use readings for advertising. We do not sell or rent personal information, or share it for targeted advertising. Routine reading processing uses Anthropic and Vercel and the service providers they use to deliver those services. We may also disclose information if required by law.
Someone else's birth data
A couples reading means entering another person's name and birth details. Only enter them with that person's permission. Tell them their birth details, calculated chart, and relationship context will be processed by Anthropic to generate the reading, and share this page with them. Their details are handled in the same way as yours, including browser storage and provider retention.
Messages and processing purposes
If you email us, your address and message are processed by our email service providers and kept separately from the app. We use correspondence to answer your request and keep it for as long as needed to resolve it, handle follow-ups, or meet legal obligations. Please do not send a full reading or birth details unless needed for your request.
Where EU or UK data protection law applies, we rely on legitimate interests in providing the reading you request, answering your messages, and keeping the service secure. Optional notes and personality types are not required to generate a reading.
International processing
Mithryl Labs LLC is based in the United States. Our app server runs in the United States. Anthropic stores data in the United States and may process it in other countries. Vercel and both providers' service providers may also process information outside your country.
The providers' published data processing terms describe their international-transfer safeguards, including standard contractual clauses where applicable: Anthropic's data processing terms and Vercel's data processing terms. Contact us to ask about the safeguards relevant to your information.
Your rights
We do not keep a database of submissions or readings, so we generally cannot retrieve them after a request ends. Browser copies, provider records, and emails are handled as described above. This does not remove any rights you have under applicable law.
Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict processing of, or obtain a copy of your personal information. To exercise a right or raise a concern, email ben@mithryl.dev. We will explain what information we can identify and work with our providers where needed. You may also complain to your local data protection authority, including the ICO in the UK.
Your right to object. Where applicable law provides this right, you may object to processing based on our legitimate interests by emailing us.
Children
Odin's Eye is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
